Ferrari: Second day of testing at the Silverstone circuit

Rigon: "Compared to yesterday, today I had a much better feeling with the car"

Plenty of sunshine again for Davide Rigon's second time at the wheel of the F138 in the Young Driver Tests staged at Silverstone, where once again today the clemency of the weather allowed the planned program to proceed smoothly. 97 laps and eighth best time (1:34.053) for the driver fielded by Scuderia Ferrari in the three British days dedicated to young Formula 1 talents, already on board the Red Team for the same initiative last season. It was a program which, alongside the evaluation of different aerodynamic configurations which began yesterday, was accompanied by a study of the tires - Soft and Hard - made available by Pirelli and completed today by Rigon, who took to the track together with colleagues from the other nine teams present.

“Today we continued the program started yesterday on the study of different aerodynamic packages and only in the afternoon did we move on to an evaluation of the different performances offered by the Soft and Hard tyres” declared Rigon at the end of the work. “Even in this session we didn't chase time but did important work to collect data that can help us improve for the rest of the season. Compared to yesterday, today I had a much better feeling with the car, I knew the track better and I was able to tackle the job with more peace of mind, thanks also to the excellent work of the whole team".

For Scuderia Ferrari the test will continue tomorrow with Felipe Massa in the morning session and with Rigon in the afternoon.
