Fernando Alonso: I believe in my team. We will win again

Fernando, quite an eventful Grand Prix for you in Malaysia. Tell us about your running…
Fernando Alonso: "I made an incredible start and moved into third position from ninth in just a few corners, this showed a clear benefit from our KERS system. However, with a full tank of petrol it was difficult to defend my position. Then he It started raining and I immediately returned to the pits to change the tyres. However, it was impossible to run in that pouring rain, and the decision to stop the race was the right one, it would have been too dangerous to continue in those conditions."

You said the team needs to improve the car. Are you confident?
Fernando Alonso: "Absolutely. I believe in the team and we already saw last year how we managed to find the performance. Everyone is working intensely to develop the R29 to be more competitive in the next races. Obviously I'm disappointed not to have taken points in Malaysia, but I'm confident for China because we learned a lot in the first two races."

What do you think of the Shanghai circuit?
Fernando Alonso: "It's definitely a circuit that I like and it's quite similar to Sepang, with some fast corners, long straights and slow sections. It's therefore necessary to find the right compromise with the set-up to ensure a good balance in all sectors. I won in China in 2005 so I have good memories of this track, also the Chinese are really enthusiastic about Formula 1."
