F1 | Williams, Nissany on track in FP1 at Le Castellet
“I can't wait to go around Paul Ricard with the FW43B,” said Nissany
Through an official communication published on the team's official social networks, Williams confirmed that Roy Nissany will take George Russell's place in the first free practice session valid for the French Grand Prix, the eighth round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship.
The Israeli, currently third driver and "development driver", will use these kilometers on the track to familiarize himself with the car and to offer a contribution to the development of the car, especially in the comparison between simulation and track. Nissany's last appearance at the wheel of the FW43B dates back to Free Practice 1 of the Spanish Grand Prix at the beginning of May.
“I can't wait to get back behind the wheel of the car,” the Israeli pilot said. “The Paul Ricard circuit is special to me, I love the layout and I have many memories linked to it. The last sector is usually very challenging and I can't wait to tackle it behind the wheel of the FW43B."
