F1 | Vettel on the Red Bull Ring: “Very fast track which I really like”

This Friday, Formula One will roar back onto the track with the first event of the new season which will take place at the Red Bull Ring, home of the Austrian Grand Prix. 2020 will be a special year for Sebastian Vettel, with the German who in mutual agreement with Ferrari has decided not to renew his existing contract and will therefore say goodbye to Maranello at the end of 2020.

The German, after the test carried out last week at Mugello driving the SF71-H, can't wait to get back behind the wheel of his Lucilla: “It's no secret that we're all extremely eager to get back on track because we've been stuck for a long time now – Vettel admitted -. At first we treasured the break, since we are usually always traveling around the world and have little time for our families and friends, but it's time to get back on track".

The four-time world champion then added: “I'm ready to give my best, even if it won't be the same without the fans to support us. The Austrian track is like a carousel that turns very fast, but I like it a lot, also because you race at high altitude and I love the mountains".

Speaking about the competitiveness of the SF1000 he said: “We must be realistic when thinking about the values ​​expressed by the tests on the pitch, but this does not mean we leave defeated. The fact that we will be playing two races in a row here will also be special: this means that the following week we will have a lot more data to rely on. The first weekend will be key depending on the second".
