F1 | Verstappen Sr on Ricciardo: “I wouldn't have made that move”

The Red Bull driver's father admitted he was surprised by the Australian's decision to switch to Renault.

According to some, the main reason that led Daniel Ricciardo to make this decision is sharing the box with Max Verstappen, towards whom Red Bull has repeatedly expressed its desire to take him to the world title.

The father of the young Dutchman, however, does not accept these rumors:

“I'm 100% sure, they get along very well. Obviously they are competing but the relationship, from my point of view, is very good. That's why I don't understand these rumors. I don't think it's the right choice to move from a top team to a lesser team, personally I wouldn't have done it.".

Joseph Verstappen he added that the Red Bull has a very clear policy based on equality, so Ricciardo had no reason to leave the team.

As for his son's next teammate, that will be Pierre Gasly, he concluded:

“I think it should be like this, I think the two of them get along”.
