F1 | Verstappen champion in Jeddah if: here are the four combinations

Despite the furious pace of Lewis Hamilton, splendid winner in Brazil and Qatar, Max Verstappen still has an eight-point lead in the standings over his fearsome rival Mercedes and therefore Red Bull has a chance, albeit a complicated one, to close the game already in Jeddah and win the Drivers' World Championship.

With two races to go Verstappen therefore has the first match point to close this intense and long match played point to point with Lewis. Obviously on the other side there is a Hamilton who will try to continue winning in the wake of what he did at Interlagos and Losail, to arrive in Abu Dhabi on equal points with his rival, if not ahead in the standings, and thus win his eighth world.

While waiting for a season finale in Yas Marina which promises to be exciting, there are however four combinations that would allow the Red Bull driver to become world champion in Saudi Arabia.

He wins, sets the fastest lap and Hamilton doesn't finish higher than sixth place.

He wins and Hamilton finishes no higher than seventh place.

He finishes second, sets the fastest lap and Hamilton finishes no higher than tenth place.

He finishes second and Hamilton doesn't score points.
