F1 | Vandoorne on Alonso's renewal: "Good news, together we will be the best"
The Belgian driver smiles at the stay of the two-time world champion: "It's a point of reference for me"
Among the many smiling faces for the renewal with the McLaren di Fernando Alonso, that of his teammate also appears Stoffel vandoorne. The Belgian pilot, a crash.net, expressed his happiness for the two-time world champion's stay in Woking: “The renewal of Fernando is good news both for me and for the team, given that it gives us stability” – began Vandoorne. “It's always good to have a two-time world champion near you, especially in motor racing. We have a good relationship, we work very well together, therefore it is a point of reference for me and I'm happy to still have him by my side".
As already reiterated by the executive director of McLaren Zak Brown, Vandoorne is also convinced that next year will be a stellar pairing: “I think we will be one of the best line-ups next year, if not the best" – commented the Belgian.
