F1 | van der Garde advises Sainz to wait before making a decision for 2025

F1 van der Garde Sainz – Interviewed by the Dutch press, Giedo van der Garde expressed his point of view on the many market rumors regarding the future of Carlos Sainz, highlighting how the Iberian - author of an extremely concrete season so far - must make a decision without getting carried away from the frenzy.

Despite the chatter with Audi and Mercedes, with the latter appearing to be the favorite for 2025, the current Ferrari driver - according to van der Garde - should wait for the situation at Red Bull to evolve, especially regarding the position by Max Verstappen.

If the Dutchman were to choose to leave Milton Keynes towards Brackley, the Iberian would have the real opportunity to join a team that, at least on paper, could guarantee him a car capable of fighting for the championship starting next year.

van der Garde and Sainz's future

“Carlos will of course talk to everyone, but if I were him I would wait and see how the market evolves. If there is the possibility of landing in the team that has the best car, i.e. Red Bull, great, otherwise I would look at other possibilities.

In my opinion, the problem arises from the presence of Max Verstappen in Milton Keynes. Sainz, for them, could prove to be a good option in the event of the Dutchman's departure. We are talking about a fast, experienced rider who has already worked in a top team. At the moment, however, it seems that Max will continue in Red Bull and therefore it is reasonable to expect Sergio Perez to be confirmed for at least another two years."
