F1 | FIA, departure rules changed

La FIA has revised the rules on departures. In fact, from 2018, a transponder will be mounted on all the single-seaters on the grid, which will detect any anomalous movements of the cars. In case of jump start (false start) the sanctions will be identical to those implemented in the past: the race direction, therefore, will decide whether to inflict a drive through or one stop & go of ten seconds, as provided for in articles 38.3c and 38.3d.

These restrictions will come into force mainly due to two controversial episodes that occurred during this season: the first a Shanghai, when Sebastian Vettel he positioned himself imprecisely on the starting box, so the sensor could not detect a possible false start; the second, in Austria, regard Valtteri Bottas, the protagonist in that case of a practically perfect start, which sparked some controversy due to a slight jerk in the clutch in the moments before the red lights went out.
