F1 | Relay Binotto – Arrivabene, Sky.de's about-face: “Remote hypothesis”

Sky.de's about-face on a possible “Maurizio Arrivabene – Mattia Binotto” relay driving for Ferrari.

According to what Sascha Roos declared during yesterday's pre-qualifying, the hypothesis of a change at the top of the Maranello team is truly remote. Not impossible, especially due to the small "political" war taking place within the GES, but really difficult. Sky.de, we remember, had dropped a bomb during Friday in Austin, revealing how Sergio Marchionne intended to change in anticipation of the 2018 season.

At the moment, a turnaround of this type is not expected, above all to avoid destabilizing a team which, despite the many reliability problems, has put Mercedes into crisis in several rounds of this championship. The objective will therefore be to improve on the reliability front, focusing on greater control of the components (the arrival of Mara Mendoza from FCA is not accidental. Ed.) and on a more careful policy on the technical innovation front. Vettel and Raikkonen will try to save what can be saved in the remaining rounds of this championship, only to then focus everything on 2018 which, for obvious reasons, must be the turning point season.
