F1 | Red Bull, Sergio Perez: “The ranking doesn't do us justice”

The ranking certainly doesn't speak in favor of Sergio Perez, who was fourth in the morning, while in the second free practice session we found his name outside the top ten. The Mexican, winner of the last round of the season in Baku, was unable to set a fast lap due to traffic at Paul Ricard, and is therefore only in twelfth position. Perez, however, assures that the ranking absolutely does not reflect the potential of the RB16B, and this is demonstrated by the good pace in the race pace of teammate Max Verstappen.

F1 | Analysis of free practice in France: Alpine and Alonso in great shape, Ferrari question mark

"I got stuck in traffic during my attempt for the fastest lap, so the situation looks worse when looking at the standings than it actually is – explained Checo – we expect to be there, more or less, and Max showed really good pace. We tried some changes during the sessions and tonight we will look at all the data to understand what worked, we hope to find even more speed tonight to be in the fight tomorrow. We come back from Baku, and this is a completely different track but we continue on the right path, the understanding of the car continues to improve and there is a lot of good to take away from this Friday".
