F1 | Racing Point, another good race from Perez: "The overtaking on Norris is one of the best of my career"

Another great race for Perez, who with seventh place in Abu Dhabi also secured tenth position in the world, thanks above all to his late overtaking of Lando Norris, who was also overtaken by the Mexican in the world rankings. Stroll, however, did poorly, as after a contact with Gasly during the early stages he was lost for the rest of the Grand Prix, which ended with a retirement due to problems with the braking system.

“The first part of my race wasn't exactly linear – Perez admitted. I had contact with Gasly in Turn 1, and this allowed Magnussen to pass me. DRS wasn't enabled to begin with, thus losing some time to him, but I managed to get through him anyway. After the first stint we worked hard to reach the top of the middle of the pack. The final overtake on Norris was one of the best of my career, and the points gained today allowed me to finish the season in the top ten. I can't wait to start the next world championship."

“I touched Gasly during the first and I had to stop having damaged the wing – Stroll said. It was difficult to get back into the midfield battle, we tried to change the strategy and I stopped twice, but when you lose so much time replacing the wing it's difficult to recover. Then I had a problem with the brakes, I was struggling to stop the car and we had to retire."
