F1 | Palmer denies rumors about split with Renault
"I have a contract and I still have seven races to go in this championship"
The driver of the French team declared that the rumors according to which are not true at all Sainz will take his place starting from the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The Spanish driver who completed 53 races in Toro Rosso, seemed to have to pass in Renault already this season, but it is Palmer himself who denies it:
“I have a contract and I still have seven races to go in this championship. For 35 races I've always been told that I won't be there at the next grand prix, it's nothing new but honestly it doesn't make me feel hot or cold. As I already said, I will be in Malaysia and I will race up to Abu Dhabi. I'm just interested in my work and I don't pay attention to these things.".
Despite this however, Palmer admitted that it has not been an easy season:
“In the last two races I improved even if unfortunately I didn't reach the finish line. I hope that the car can also be competitive in the next races to try to get some points".
On the future in Renault, English does not go too far:
“There will be an announcement soon and I am very anxious about what might come”.
