F1 | Norris: “I'm very happy at McLaren, I have no regrets”

The last month has been marked by important announcements, including the “coup of the century” it brought Lewis Hamilton to sign with the Ferrari for next season. Among the issues related to the transfer market there is also the multi-year renewal of Lando Norris with McLaren, with the Englishman who in mutual agreement with the Woking team has decided to extend his previous contract which expired in 2025.

Norris, discussing the moves that electrified the weeks of pause in the world of Formula 1, admitted that he did not have any type of regret linked to the choice made also because the British standard-bearer knew in advance which moves would liven up the Circus chessboard.

“I'm very happy – said Norris, as reported by Autosport – I could have waited. I knew opportunities were potentially coming my way. I knew what opportunities I had at that time, last year and this year and what could happen or what will happen in the next couple of years. I have no regrets."

The McLaren standard bearer then added: “I have faith in my team and confident in what we have been able to achieve and what we can achieve in the future. I'm very happy with where I am. Of course I could be happier if we achieved the goals we set for ourselves."
