F1 | New Ferrari SF1000, Vettel: “Many differences with the 2019 car, especially at the rear”

For Sebastian Vettel the SF1000 is the sixth Ferrari of his career. Could it be the last? It's too early to say, the first races of 2020 will be decisive to understand something about the future of the German, who in the meantime is enjoying the new creation of Binotto and singing company, hoping that the second part of last season has given the possibility to the engineers from Maranello to create a car capable of obtaining positive results right from Melbourne.

“As Mattia said, it is an incredible achievement: there are many hours of work behind this car – Vettel said. We had already seen it and compared it with last year's, you can see the differences, especially in the rear, it is much narrower. This means that a lot of work has been done behind it, and it is not easy to find solutions. Obviously I can't wait to drive it, it's much more exciting than looking at it, but we still have to wait a week. The car is fantastic, I see it even redder than last year. I feel a bit Italian: I have a lot of Italian food inside me, pasta wins over everything. I love the people, the culture, but above all the great passion for Ferrari, the red cars. I think Ferrari is a big part of Italian history, at least for me, that's what I feel. Impossible to predict: a lot of work went into the development of this car, you always feel it when you drive something new. There will always be great commitment on my part, as will that of the staff in Maranello, who are working hard these days to improve the car, we rely heavily on these people. We must be patient and wait."
