On the occasion of the 58th edition of the Caschi d'Oro, an event organized by Autosprint and Aci Sport, the former president of Ferrari, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, was also present. The entrepreneur from Bologna spoke about the golden years of Ferrari and the fact that he feels proud that some historical members of the Maranello team have been successful after their years at Ferrari.

“For me it is a great source of pride, they are all kids who have worked with me and have grown a lot thanks to their merits and a nice environment. Seeing Domenicali in that position (CEO Liberty Media, ed.), seeing Todt president of the FIA, seeing Stella team manager of a team like McLaren and Rivola at Aprilia gives me great pleasure. She means two things: that the people we had had great growth potential and that the period at Ferrari served to grow and become even better,” commented Cordero di Montezemolo.

A comment then on the current Formula 1 and what, according to the entrepreneur, the pros and cons are:

“I like everything except the excessive attention to street circuits, they're good but you shouldn't overdo it. Today's Formula 1 is interesting, you can see overtaking, it's unpredictable, even in a year deservedly dominated by Verstappen and Red Bull, there have been interesting races. Formula 1 is interesting, when we won they changed the rules every year to make it more interesting!”
