Lewis Hamilton finished Friday free practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix in fifth place. The Englishman, who set his best time in FP2 on soft compound tyres, paid for more than three tenths of a delay from the top occupied by Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull.
Speaking about the current day spent on the track, the Englishman, who boasts the most successes on the Hungaroring track, said: “The start of this weekend wasn't easy, clearly we can improve. It promises to be a very interesting weekend, with us, Ferrari and Red Bull very close in the standings".
"We must continue to work to make the car more balanced. Every single tenth will be important given the very small gaps”, concluded Hamilton.
