F1 | Mercedes, Bottas: “I work to become a better person and driver”
The former Williams philosophically absorbs the difficulties encountered in his first season with the German team: "I learned a lot, and this is always positive"
The 2017 World Cup as a basis from which to start again next year: Valtteri Bottas is ready to face its second season in Mercedes with the awareness of those who have learned and gained a lot, especially from their teammate Lewis Hamilton. “I think this year's balance sheet is mixed” – declared the Finn. “There were many good moments but also many disappointments. Lewis won the title as my teammate, so we had a car to win: he beat me, I learned a lot and that's why I'm looking forward".
The bad days experienced, first and foremost, in Shanghai and Sepang, in which the former Williams man made up abysmal gaps from the leaders, will be the spring from which to start again: “I think the difficult races are the ones I learned the most from. Last season gave me a lot to work on to become a better person and driver, and this is always positive. That's why I can't wait for the future." – concluded Bottas.
