F1 | Mercedes, Bottas: “I'm very happy”

Fifth pole of the season for Valtteri Bottas who concluded qualifying for the United States Grand Prix with a best lap of 1:32.029. The Finn could ruin Lewis Hamilton's world celebration but an eighth place will be enough for the Englishman to become world champion.

“I'm very happy, it was a good lap at the start of Q3, on a track like this the feeling increases lap after lap. Yesterday many things didn't seem right in my car, this morning however things started to go better, we sorted out all the details and were able to concentrate on qualifying, we put the lap together and it's a great feeling to be able to do well in Q3 . Towards the end there seemed to be less grip, especially in sector 3. Luckily the others didn't improve the end, I didn't manage to either but that's okay."
