F1 | McLaren, Ricciardo: “Let's continue like this after qualifying in Belgium”

Daniel Ricciardo's best qualifying of the season did not turn into the race he wanted, as only the final farce took place at Spa with two laps behind the Safety Car before giving the red flag. Of course, the weather conditions did not allow us to have a track capable of guaranteeing a race in total safety, and for this reason the Australian from McLaren is disappointed with what happened in Belgium. The objective now is to continue to grow after last Saturday's qualifying and try to repeat ourselves in the Netherlands.

“I certainly didn't expect to celebrate my 200th Formula 1 Spa Grand Prix like this – Ricciardo admitted. It's a real shame, especially for the fans who couldn't watch a proper race. Fortunately these situations don't happen often in Formula 1, and now we're racing straight away at Zandvoort this weekend. It's been a while since I've been here, and I have to be honest I'm very happy to be back. The fans are very passionate and I feel a lot of support from the Dutch public. We must continue to do well after qualifying in Spa and try to get a good haul of points."
