F1 | McLaren, five-place penalty for Vandoorne in Austin
A new ICE will be fitted on the Belgian driver's car, the eighth of the season
di Federico Martino20 October 2017
The story doesn't change, not even in the United States: the duo's disastrous year McLaren-Honda, in Austin, will be enriched by yet another seasonal penalty. If it was Fernando Alonso's turn in Suzuka, on American soil it will be up to Stoffel vandoorne serve a sanction: according to the latest rumors, the Belgian driver's MCL32 will, in fact, be mounted a new ICE (component of the Power Unit).
For the 2015 GP2 world champion, this is the eighth substitution of the season: therefore, the five place penalty on the starting grid. It is not yet clear, however, whether it is the "Spec 4.0" engine that Honda should bring for the final races of the season: in this case, Alonso would only benefit from this update in Mexico.
