The Red Bull man in favor of the farewell of the controversial mobile rear wing

F1 | Marko: “With DRS there are no real overtakings”

The movable rear wing could soon become just a bad memory. This is the hope of Red Bull and his man Helmut Marko, ready to endorse Dr.S.'s farewell proposed a few days ago by the new circus boss Ross Brawn.

The sporting director of the "new" F1 had been very clear, speaking of an artificial solution that could soon be replaced with something purer.

Marko clearly stated his thoughts to Auto Motor und Sport: “With the DRS, in a fight between two drivers, one is always helpless in front of the other. It's not a real overtaking."

The former driver underlined the important role of braking, a skill that should once again become central in the racing world: “Extreme braking is one of the most important skills of top drivers. When you look back at the history of Formula 1 and drivers like Prost and Senna, it was often the defining moment of the race."
