F1 | Leclerc still wants Sainz as a teammate

In the absence of races, various rumors are raging on the driver market in this period. According to one of these, Carlos Sainz would have signed a pre-contract with Audi for the 2026 project. The Spaniard's entourage denied this news and in this regard, Charles Leclerc expressed his point of view.

“I work very well with Carlos, even if there is a lot of competition between us,” declared the Monegasque, interviewed by “Il Corriere dello Sport”, adding that in his opinion, the strengths of his teammate are “his work ethic and perseverance."

However, Leclerc reiterated that his real priority is to have a faster Ferrari at his disposal:

“We cannot be satisfied with being second or third. We have to win and we have to make it doable. Podiums are nice, but I don't enjoy them."
