F1 | Leclerc: “Satisfied but we still have a lot of work to do”

Weekend to forget for Ferrari but Charles Leclerc still manages to bring a smile back to the Scuderia di Maranello with a comeback from seventh to second place. It's true that there have been many retirements, safety cars and penalties, but in Formula 1 it's essential to seize every opportunity that comes your way, just like the Monegasque did:

“I didn't expect it, a huge positive surprise. I think we did everything perfectly, obviously we also had a bit of luck with Lewis' problem, a few accidents, it was an eventful race. This was the objective, to seize every opportunity that arose, even if we didn't have the step to finish in this position. But I'm satisfied with this second place, we still have a lot of work to do, we're too far away, we're not where we wanted to be but anything is possible, we have to stay mentally strong as a team and work together. We will get back to where we want but it will take time. I wanted to be aggressive because from turn one to three I was struggling but I knew that if there was a mistake then an opportunity could present itself. Lando slowed down fighting with Sergio and I took advantage of that opportunity"
