Among the pleasant surprises of the last Formula One World Championship were theAlfa Romeo Sauber and his own standard bearer Charles Leclerc. In fact, the Swiss team has made enormous steps forward throughout the season, improving its performance race after race.

"If we had maintained the standards of the beginning of the year it would have been a difficult season, lacking in motivation – said Leclerc -. Things got better and more interesting when we started developing the car and of course as I grew as a driver".
The Monegasque then added: “In the first three races we were not so competitive. After 20 laps we were in nineteenth position and it all got quite boring and we were just waiting for the end of the race".
