F1 | Leclerc on the future at Ferrari: "Something that goes beyond my expectations"

From next year Charles Leclerc will join Sebastian Vettel in Ferrari. The Monegasque, who will take the place of Kimi Raikkonen in the Cavallino team who will instead follow the opposite path in Alfa Romeo Sauber, speaking to the media in Singapore expressed all his joy: "It's incredible, I recently became a Formula One driver and soon I'll be in Ferrari: it's something that goes far beyond my expectations".

"I think they will let us run free next season, then at a certain point there will be team orders because one driver will be fighting for the championship while the other won't. It's normal”, underlined Leclerc when speaking about the internal dynamics at Ferrari.

Continuing with his discussion, the young Monegasque added: “Many think he will have a lot of pressure, but for me that's not the case. I will only focus on myself, if I work in the right way the results will come. Experience is clearly an advantage, but if you prove you're good you do it from the start. If I don't get good enough results to stay at Ferrari, it means I won't deserve that seat".
