Interviewed by the international media at the end of the first day of free practice valid for the Styrian Grand Prix, the eighth round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz outlined the objectives for tomorrow's free practice 3, specifying how the team will focus on the qualifying pace and on the simulation of the flying lap with empty tanks.
Compared to what happened at Le Castellet, the SF21 proved to be competitive in terms of race pace and not in terms of qualifying pace, an aspect that will push the technicians to find a point of balance for the rest of the weekend.
