The new season is approaching and the incentives to do as well as in 2018 are high Kevin Magnussen. The Haas driver is convinced that the good things done over the past year can be the right motivation to continue growing in 2019 and compete with Renault.

“Last year we took a big step from 2017 to 2018. I don't know if we can do it the same way again, but we can expect to continue to improve and stay growing. However, I don't expect to take a step back. We have to improve, and we also have to grow to stay in fifth place,” he told Crash.net.

“Probably this year the improvements and the step forward will be less visible but we are growing as a team and gaining more and more experience. I am optimistic“, concluded the Danish driver.

Beating Renault will be tough and improving on last year's fifth place in the Constructors' Championship will certainly not be an easy task. However, his teammate echoes Magnussen Romain Grosjean, who believes in fourth place and the possibility of taking it away from Renault: “You always want to do better and last year was a big step for us. We weren't miles away from fourth place so I guess if we want to improve it can and must be a concrete objective“, declared the Frenchman.

“In recent years the car has been good from the start and we have improved the team from day one. I am very proud of the work we are doing and the growth of the team,” she concluded.
