F1 | Haas, fifteenth position for Kevin Magnussen

Fifteenth position for Kevin Magnussen in the qualifications of Suzuka. The Dane manages to make the cut for Q2, effectively limiting the damage: the team Gunther steiner he seemed to be resigned to the outcome of this weekend already from free practice. The Japanese track is the least suitable for the American car's package and entry into the top fifteen seems to be a victory. The race, however, could prove to be anything but easy: only strategy and a stroke of luck could help Haas.

“I'm happy that I was able to do my best. We are fifteenth, I would have liked to be faster, but we already knew that this is the worst track for us, and the car is much stronger in qualifying than in the race – admitted Magnussen – starting fifteenth, therefore, we already know how tomorrow will go. I have made some important improvements in my driving style and it seems that we are able to exploit it better, at least this effort has paid off."

Not an easy qualification either Nico Hulkenberg: the German tries, but is only eighteenth.

“It was strange. The first lap was obviously canceled due to track limits. The second attempt seemed very good in the first sector, but in the second I tried to recover a few tenths and instead I only lost time. It's a strange feeling: I haven't made any mistakes and I need to review everything and understand why we couldn't improve. The degradation is very high for everyone, and so for us. This race will be a war, we will have to come up with the best strategy to have a chance."
