F1 | Grosjean doubtful about glasses with cameras: “I love the idea, but they don't fit well”

Romain Grosjean only partially promotes the glasses experiment tested in Canada. During free practice in Montreal, the driver of the Haas he wore a frame of glasses equipped with a camera, which offers viewers an unprecedented view from the car: “It was very painful” – admitted Grosjean regarding this original solution. "They don't fit the helmet very well, you can only use them for one installation tour. But I love the idea and that's why I agreed to try them. When you see the pictures, you actually get the speed of the car, the work on the steering wheel, the vibrations – people can really appreciate what we do. Modern cameras are so good and stable that you don't even feel the vibrations on the track.".

However, considering the setbacks that have arisen, the Frenchman doubts that glasses can become a realistic option for Formula 1 drivers: "We will evaluate other solutions, perhaps mounting them in the padding or on the helmet".
