F1 | Dutch GP, van Overdijk postpones the official communication on the date of the race
“I have no intention of announcing a definitive date at this time,” the Dutchman said
Despite the rumors circulating this morning about the world calendar for the 2020 season, Robert van Overdijk did not want to leave any statement on the possible official date of the Dutch Grand Prix, underlining how the puzzle of appointments will be completed in the next few days, presumably before the round scheduled in Monza.
Zandvoort, we remember, should be placed on the calendar in May, precisely in a back-to-back with the Barcelona event (we're talking about May 3rd). A logical choice, given that the organizers' intention was to place the Grand Prix in the first part of the European season.
“I have no intention of announcing a definitive date at this time,” said van Overdijk, director of the Zandvoort circuit, to the Dutch press. “With the renewal of Barcelona it is clear that there will be twenty-two rounds. The rest of the puzzle will be completed quickly."
