F1 | Mexican GP, Ferrari chooses the winning Austin fund: the new solution rejected [VIDEO]

Despite the comparative tests carried out during this morning's session, Ferrari has chosen to fit the old-concept floor used in Austin on the SF71H of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen, putting aside, at least temporarily, the one equipped with lateral turning vanes .

In fact, the solution did not satisfy the riders 100% during free practice this morning, an aspect which pushed the technicians to take a step back, installing the solution with which the Finn achieved success in the United States. This version of the surface, we remember, was presented in Austin, but the weather conditions in Texas did not allow the team to carry out all the necessary tests, pushing the riders to adopt the configuration used in Suzuka.

Ferrari will presumably carry out other tests during tomorrow morning, but it will be reasonable to expect a step backwards with regards to qualifying and the race, with the SF71H taking to the track with a solution already studied and extensively tested.
