F1 | Japanese GP, Max Verstappen elected “Driver of the Day”

Max Verstappen was elected driver of the day of the Japanese Grand Prix, sixteenth round of the 2017 Formula One World Championship season which took place this morning on the Suzuka track.

The Dutchman from Red Bull stood out right from the start, with the splendid sprint that earned him second place thanks to the double overtaking he carried out against Daniel Ricciardo's twin RB13 and Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari, who was then forced to retire due to a broken spark plug.

A position which, net of the pit stop waltz, he maintained until the checkered flag, putting pressure on the winner Lewis Hamilton in the race.

This is Verstappen's second seasonal recognition after the one obtained in Shanghai (Chinese GP) last April.
