F1 British GP, Free Practice 1: Rosberg precedes Hamilton
Verstappen third, then Raikkonen. Vettel sixth
Best time for Nico Rosberg in the first free practice session of the Formula 1 British GP at Silverstone. After missing most of the morning due to a drop in hydraulic pressure which forced him to stop on the track and replace the gearbox, Rosberg returned to the track in the final minutes, overtaking Hamilton, lapping in 1.34.274.
Third and fifth times for the Toro Rossos of Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz, separated by the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen, fourth at 1"3. For the Finn, a problem with the flow meter, which was then resolved by the Ferrari technicians. Sixth time for the other Ferrari driver, Sebastian Vettel, ahead of the two Red Bull Racings of Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat.
Ninth was Nico Hulkenberg with the Force India B version, ahead of Felipe Massa's Williams. Raffaele Marciello lapped with the Sauber obtaining the 15th time. 13th time for Susie Wolff at the wheel of Bottas' Williams for this session. A few laps for the two McLarens: Alonso 17th, Button 18th.
