F1 | GP Imola, the driver and constructor rankings after the second round of the season
Next meeting in two weeks in Portimao
We bring you the rankings of the drivers' and constructors' world championship at the end of the Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the second round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship.
Thanks to the victory achieved in Imola, Max Verstappen managed to close the gap "acquired" by Lewis Hamilton in Bahrain, with the two now separated in the standings by just one advantage. Lando Norris also performed well, confirming his third place thanks to the podium achieved in today's race.
Valtteri Bottas drops in the rankings, protagonist of a heavy zero in the "box" over the weekend at the "Santerno". As regards the constructors' classification, however, great balance between Mercedes and Red Bull, with both teams paying dearly for the withdrawal of the "second" driver.
McLaren remains ahead of Ferrari for third place, but the two teams are separated by just eight points. Appointment in two weeks, in Portimao, for the Portuguese Grand Prix, third round of this 2021 Formula 1 world championship.
