F1 | Australian GP, Melbourne and the weight factor: how the rules have changed for the riders [VIDEO]
From this year the weight of the pilots must not go below eighty kilos
During free practice held this morning on the Albert Park track, scene of the next Australian Grand Prix, Matteo Bobbi spoke about the new minimum weight imposed by the International Federation on drivers for the 2019 Formula 1 world championship, underlining how this rule it will allow the tallest and most robust bishops to give up a little on the diets they have carried out in recent years.
According to what was reported by the Sky Sport talent, in fact, the FIA has imposed this regulation to completely eliminate 'weight-killing' diets, thus meeting the needs requested loudly by pilots over the past few years.
It should be noted that for shorter drivers (for example Lewis Hamilton. ed.), on the contrary, it was possible to intervene on the physique, with a lot of activity in the gym aimed at defining muscle mass.
