F1 | Esports players in Formula 1 within 10 years?
According to F1 marketing manager, Ellie Norman, the hypothesis cannot be ruled out
di Jessica Cortellazzi6 February 2019
The indiscretion is incredible but the virtual version of Formula 1 is enjoying more and more success year after year. According to F1's head of marketing, Ellie Norman, we might see these players on a real F1 track soon.
“The Race of Champions (won by the Italian Enzo Bonito, ed) it consolidated Esports as a real profession not just a game. The speed at which technology changes is phenomenal and I think within 10 years it could happen”, Norman commented.
Over the past two years the simulators, which drivers and teams use to prepare for Grand Prix weekends, have improved as technology has advanced. Maybe we'll see a lot more Esports drivers in the pits.
