F1 | Force India, Nicholas Latifi on track in FP1 in Austin, Mexico City and Interlagos
In the United States and Mexico he will replace Ocon, in Brazil he will replace Perez
In this season finale, Force India will showcase its third driver Nicholas latifi. The Silverstone-based team, in fact, announced via Twitter that the 23-year-old Canadian will take part in FP1 of the United States, Mexican and Brazilian GPs. On the first two occasions he will replace Esteban Ocon, while at Interlagos Sergio Perez will temporarily give him the seat.
This year, Latifi has already taken to the track aboard the VJM11 in the first free practices in Montreal, Hockenheim and Sochi: a commitment to which must be added the participation in the in-season tests in Barcelona and Budapest.
The driver from Toronto is competing in the championship formula 2 with the DAMS team: he is currently in 9th place in the standings with 91 points and a success achieved at Spa-Francorchamps.
Nicholas, who has already been in the car for three FP1 sessions, will reprise his testing roles at the USA, Mexican and Brazilian events. He will be standing in for Esteban Ocon in Austin and Mexico City, while deputing for Sergio Perez in Interlagos. pic.twitter.com/ENukaMOOxG
