The Canadian driver's confirmation arrived today with the Racing Point Force India for the 2019 season. The hiring had been talked about for months, after Lance Stroll's father had led the consortium to save the team from bankruptcy. Furthermore, the Canadian himself took part in the Abu Dhabi tests at the wheel of the VJM11.
All that was missing was the official announcement, welcomed with enthusiasm by the young driver who will face his third season in Formula 1 next year:
