F1 | Ferrari, Vettel: “Our car is better than the one seen in Melbourne”
"The car performed well in the tests and the sensations were positive," said the four-time world champion
Ferrari's new season opened with a splash at Melbourne's Albert Park, where the Australian Grand Prix was held on Sunday.
In fact, the Red Car was never a protagonist in the Australian weekend, having to settle for fourth place with Sebastian Vettel and fifth with Charles Leclerc, who reached the finish line with a (heavy) delay of almost a minute from Valtteri Bottas's winning Mercedes.
Vettel, analyzing the causes of the Cavallino debacle, explained: “The problem we experienced this year has nothing to do with what we saw in 2018 – underlined the German, quoted by the British portal RaceFans.net -. Last year we ended the winter tests with some problems with the car, which didn't behave as it should have. This year, however, the opposite occurred. The car performed well in tests, as we expected, and the sensations were positive".
