F1 | Ferrari, many question marks after the weekend in Barcelona

F1 GP Spain Ferrari – Scuderia Ferrari leaves Spain with ten points from fifth place achieved by Carlos Sainz. Charles Leclerc instead stopped on the edge of the points zone - eleventh - after various components had been replaced on his car following yesterday's difficult qualifying, leading him to start from the pitlane. Carlos and Charles felt more comfortable in the car thanks to the updates introduced in this race, but the car's inconsistent performance prevented Sainz from fighting for the podium as well as Leclerc from achieving a position in the points.

The race. At the start Carlos, starting on Soft tyres, held second position, while Charles started his race on Hard tires which offered less positive performances than expected. At Sainz's first stop the team therefore fitted him with a set of Mediums with which the Spaniard tried to defend third place after Lewis Hamilton, thanks to a better pace, had managed to move into second. Unfortunately Carlos couldn't even oppose George Russell, slipping to fourth place. At the second stop the team then fitted him with Hard tires with which Carlos reached the finish line fifth behind Sergio Perez's second Red Bull. As for Charles, on lap 15 he changed his Hard tires with which he was struggling excessively and started again with new Soft tires with which he was the author of a pace that took him to the edge of the points zone. On lap 42 he made his second stop to overtake a group of Hards who performed better than the first set and allowed him to continue fighting to enter the ten positions. However, the Monegasque found himself in a group of cars that could exploit the DRS for a long time and only in the last two laps was he in a position to attack Pierre Gasly for the points, but without succeeding in his aim.

Pause, then Canada. The World Cup stops for a week. Drivers and teams will return to the track from 16 to 18 June in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix.
