F1 | Ferrari, Sainz: “Harder start to the season than expected”

The weekend of the British Grand Prix interrupted the excellent mini cycle that had opened the Ferrari with the excellent performances obtained in previous track appearances in Canada and Austria. On the Silverstone track the SF-23 suffered from a lack of pace which did not allow it to Charles Leclerc e Carlos Sainz to fight for important positions, having to settle for placings on the margins of the points zone.

Sainz, discussing the races that have characterized the first part of the season so far, underlined that Ferrari had not expected such a difficult start. At the same time, the Cavallino standard bearer stated how the team must continue to progress in order to return to battle with the top cars.

“My feelings are a bit mixed – said Sainz, quoted by SoyMotor, during an event organized by Estrella Galicia – It was a harder start to the season than the whole team expected, but it's true that we started to improve a lot and better results come every time. Now we need to make sure we continue to improve and can get back to fighting for podiums and victories."
