F1 | Ferrari, Sainz remembers the victory in Singapore: "I was going very fast"

In a season completely dominated by Red Bull the only success not signed by the Milton Keynes team bears the signature of Ferrari. The Cavallino team in fact achieved victory in the away match Singapore, where he established himself on the streets of Marina Bay Carlos Sainz. For the Spaniard, protagonist of a sumptuous performance that weekend also enhanced by the pole position obtained on Saturday, it was the second success in his career which he recently remembered with pleasure.

The last one was a difficult championship for Ferrari which had to face a critical situation due to the lack of competitiveness of the SF-23. The only joy came in Singapore with Sainz, but despite an improvement in performance during the second half of the season the Red team was unable to get the better of Mercedes in the battle for second place in the Constructors' World Championship.

“If I had to define this season with just one word I would say Singapore – declared Sainz, interviewed by Dazn Spain – The truth is that I was going very fast, even without perfect laps. I was making the most of my potential. And I knew it until the last lap of Q3, by going as fast as I was doing I could get pole. And then in the race everything went perfectly and this gives you happiness, satisfaction with yourself, which very few things give you. And like never before in Singapore, I felt more satisfied, happier with my performance over a weekend."
