F1 | Ferrari in the eye of the storm: Codacons complaint to the Antitrust against the sponsor "Mission Winnow"

New legal troubles loom over Ferrari: a few days after the presentation of the new SF90, Codacons (association for the defense of consumers and the environment) filed a complaint with the Antitrust to verify the legality of the title sponsor "Mission Winnow" (present on the Red since October 2018), a brand owned by Philip Morris International, an American company active in the tobacco industry and historic partner of the Maranello team.

The display of the "Mission Winnow" writing on the 2019 car, in fact, would represent a form of indirect tobacco advertising and, therefore, a violation of the regulations envisaged in Italy and for years also in Formula 1.

While waiting to understand the developments of the investigation, Codacons would even be ready to request the seizure of the Ferraris of Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc: all just a few hours before the start of the pre-season tests in Barcelona.
