F1 | Ferrari: Chinese GP, partial comeback for Leclerc and Sainz

Upon the return of Chinese Grand Prix in the championship Ferrari he collected a fourth and fifth place with Charles Leclerc e Carlos Sainz. Good to take home from the weekend of Shanghai there are the points won, 31 including the Sprint Race yesterday, second best haul behind the Red bull Compared to the starting positions after a difficult qualifying there was therefore a comeback which was not enough - and it was the first time this season - to get on the podium.

Ferrari, Chinese GP: strategies and management

Starting from sixth and seventh position on the grid, the team had to set up a strategy that would allow Charles and Carlos to recover without wasting time in a train of cars with DRS. The start of the two Ferraris was not good, as both were overtaken by George Russel, and this further complicated the situation. The Monegasque managed to overtake the rider Mercedes after nine laps, managing to lap with a good pace with the medium tires which managed to last longer than its direct rivals and how much Land Norris. The first part of the race was more difficult for Carlos who on lap 17 was called back to the pits to put on Hard tires and returned to the track in tenth.

One of the key moments was the Virtual Safety Car introduced on lap 21 by the race direction after Valtteri Bottas stopped on the track, which then became a real Safety Car. At that point Charles made his only stop to switch to hard tires, losing half the time compared to usual and thus moving up to third position behind Max Verstappen and Norris and in front of Sergio Perez. Carlos also benefited from other people's pit stops, climbing up to fifth position. At the restart Leclerc and Sainz were unable to keep up with the best with the Hard compound and so the Monegasque had to give up third place to Perez. Sainz, forced to extend his stint with the Hard tyres, also lost a position, slipping to sixth after being overtaken by Alonso. However, Fernando had Soft tires and before the end of the race he had to make another stop, giving the position back to Carlos who reached the finish line fifth behind his teammate.

Heading to Florida. The World Cup stops for a week. We return to the track for the sixth race of the season in Miami, the last event before the start of the European part of the season.
