F1 | Elliot "justifies" Hamilton: "As Mercedes we must improve performance"

In the classic "debrief" published by Mercedes on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, Mike Elliot analyzed the disastrous weekend of the world champion team in Baku, highlighting how the entire team must work on the potential of the technical package in view of the next events in calendar.

According to what was declared by the English Technical Director, the performances of the W12 in the double trip to Monaco and Azerbaijan were not in line with the team's expectations, an aspect that must push everyone to give 110% in terms of development and half a point. The "strength" shown by Red Bull in recent weeks, in fact, does not allow the seven-time world champion team the slightest margin of error.

“I spoke to Lewis in recent days about what happened in Baku and I know for a fact that he feels part of the responsibility for the bad performances last weekend,” said Mike Elliot. “But the reality is very different. Lewis makes very few mistakes and this is the extra quality that puts him on a different level than all the other competitors. Our duty is to give him a car capable of making his life easier. We must take our share of responsibility, looking at how we can improve. This is something we will implement in the next scheduled races."
