F1 | Bottas: “My mission was to slow down Kimi”

“I did everything today to be able to get on the podium. First, my mission was to slow down Kimi, but then I tried to do my race. It wasn't easy today, but the contact I suffered wasn't correct, Verstappen took the penalty and I ended up third."

“There were a couple of opportunities for me to pass the Red Bull: on the first attempt I took the inside and Max cut the chicane to stay in front of me. To the second – I think there is a clear rule that when you defend your position, you choose the line and if there is another car there you have to leave space, but he didn't – so we touched and he took the 5 seconds. I think it's very clear and simple." 

“As a team we bring this result home. We have more points than Ferrari and we are at their home. Clearly they were fast in qualifying yesterday, so we hope to do better next time also from this point of view."
