F1 | Berger promotes the Ferrari line-up: “Many teams have faced a situation of this type”

Despite the contact made in Sao Paulo and the management difficulties faced by Ferrari during this season, Gerhard Berger promoted the rivalry between Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, underlining how a situation of this type helps not only to keep concentration high, but also to squeeze maximum performance from the car.

According to the Austrian, in fact, Ferrari can count on a strong, fast and motivated line-up, an aspect that will help the team grow during 2020. It goes without saying that all this must be accompanied by clear and flawless management, given that a rivalry of this type can turn into something absolutely negative.

“The advantage of this situation is that you can maximize performance,” said Gerhard Berger to the Austrian press. “The downside is that obviously someone has to manage all of this. If we look at the past, however, we realize that this is nothing new, given that all teams have faced a situation of this type."

“Frank Williams has always had two cars driven by fast drivers and the same goes for Enzo Ferrari, given that the latter has often tried to reverse the hierarchies within the team,” he concluded.
