Sixth time for Verstappen, eighth Leclerc
Free Practice Results 1 Bahrain GP – Good first start for Racing Bulls as Daniel Ricciardo achieved the best time in the first free practice session of the Bahrain Grand Prix, the first event of the 2024 season. The Australian driver recorded his best time in 1:32.869 on rubber soft. In second and third position we find the McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri (times recorded with soft tyres), followed by the other RB of Yuki Tsunoda (time recorded with soft tyres).
Fifth position for Fernando Alonso's Aston Martin, ahead of Max Verstappen's Red Bull and George Russell's Mercedes. Charles Leclerc finished eighth, ahead of Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes and Valtteri Bottas' Kick Sauber. Eleventh Carlos Sainz.
The track appointment returns at 16pm with the second free practice session in Bahrain.
