F1 | Aston Martin, Vettel out in Q2: “I'm angry with myself”

There is disappointment in the part of the Aston Martin garage occupied by Sebastian Vettel. The German failed to get into Q3 by a handful of thousandths, and will therefore start from the sixth row tomorrow in the Grand Prix in Sochi. The possibility of scoring points is certainly there for the former Ferrari champion, but seeing the performances provided today by Stroll, he is aware of having thrown away a good opportunity to start from a certainly more interesting position.

“We definitely had the potential for a much better result – Seb admitted. I think we had the pace to get through to Q3 easily, but there was traffic on my last lap and I missed the opportunity. I'm angry with myself because I should have done a better time on the previous attempt. This means that we will start on the edge of the top ten, overtaking here isn't exactly easy."
